Self-awareness and your stress signature

As we near the end of Stress Awareness Month, how have things been for you?


I wonder if you have heard of the Stress Signature? Everyone has one, a certain way that their body and mind feels when they are stressed. It's as unique and personal to you as your written signature.


If you become more aware of your stress signature over time, it can help to relieve your stress and support your longer term capability to deal with challenge and change.


The first step to any change is self-awareness. Getting to know how and where your body stores stress can help you to work out the best ways to relieve that tension. As long as the stress remains under the surface of your awareness, then it will be difficult to make the changes you want to make.


You can develop your own stress signature if you take some time to notice your symptoms- you might want to do this over a period of time- keep notes of what happens to you when, what your triggers are, and how these manifest themselves.
