Just the tip of the iceberg?

Yesterday was International Self-Care Day. How did you get on? Perhaps you went for a walk, had a bath, lit a candle? The self-care iceberg is a metaphor used to illustrate the concept of self-care. True self-care needs to involve both visible and hidden aspects. The visible aspects (the walk, candle, bath) are the more obvious, and still important, self-care activities that help us. The more hidden aspects are often easy to overlook and harder to achieve. One way you might start to practise greater self-care is to reflect on what lies beneath the surface. Which one strikes a chord with you? That is a good place to start.
